New program to prevent falls

Friendlies Physiotherapy & Allied Health have launched a new program aimed at helping patients to prevent falls.

The Falls Prevention and Exercise Program focuses on standing and endurance exercises so participants can work on:

  • Upper Limb Strength
  • Lower Limb Strength
  • Core Stability
  • Balance

All classes will be supervised with both a physiotherapist and personal trainer, to ensure you get the most out of each class.

This class is great for people with

  • Pre and post joint replacement
  • Post fracture
  • History of falls/fear of falling
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Muscle weakness of the legs or feet
  • Reduced balance
  • General decline in mobility
  • diabetes
  • Numbness in legs/feet

Patients receiving NDIS funding, with allocation for therapeutic supports, may be eligible to claim classes under their NDIS funding. Speak to our staff for more details.

Classes are just $15, which may be claimable on Private Health Extras. We recommend participants attend 10 classes over 5 weeks.

Please note, participants must have a physio assessment before starting the class. The cost of the assessment includes your first class.

Classes are held each Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 11am. Booking are required by telephoning 4331 1888.
