New therapy to limit hair loss from chemotherapy now available at The Friendlies

A complementary therapy that limits hair loss in patients receiving chemotherapy has been made available in Bundaberg for the first time, thanks to The Friendlies Foundation purchase of a $50,000 machine. Patients at the Friendly Society Private Hospital have already begun using the Scalp Cooling Machine, which works to reduce the temperature of the scalp immediately before, during and after chemotherapy treatment. Changes to Car Parking brings Drop Off Zones to The Friendlies

Changes to car parking at Friendly Society Private Hospital continue to be made to ensure patients have the best access to hospital facilities. New drop-off zones have been added to the laneway beside The Friendlies, between Woondooma and Crofton streets. One patient drop-off and pick-up zone has been created at the Woondooma Street entrance, designed for emergency patients.
