Vascular Surgery

What?

The branch of surgery involves the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the vessels that carry blood away from and back to your heart. Vascular disorders include blockages and narrowings of the vessels, abnormal swellings of the vessels (aneurysm) or vessel malfunctions. Vascular disorders often involve other body systems and your treatment at The Friendlies may require the combined efforts of other medical specialists such as radiologists and general physicians. The Cardiac Cath Lab provides our Vascular Surgeons with the ability to treat and perform vascular procedures locally rather than having to travel to Brisbane.

Dr Ramesh Tripathi is a vascular surgeon at The Friendlies. He consults from Level 2 of The Friendlies Medical Suites on Crofton Street.

Dr Mark Ray is a visiting specialist who consults from Level 2 of The Friendlies Medical Suites on Crofton Street.
